David Jones - a major re-vamp of DJs flagship stores in Bourke St. is schedule for 2008/9; DJs is committed to ensuring that the heritage of its Art Deco buildings (the former Buckley's Mens Store at 310 Bourke and the former Coles Store at 299 Bourke St) is preserved and has nominated the buildings to the Victorian Heritage Register.

However, Lonsdale House (Lonsdale St) is proposed to be demolished by Myers as part of the re-vamp of its stores. ADS has nominated Lonsdale House to the Victorian Heritage Register. [more details]
