The conversion to apartments is complete. The former hotel is now the frontispiece for an extensive residential and serviced apartment block.

A landmark in the Essendon district, the Grand Hotel in Mt. Alexander Rd. is to be converted into apartments. The facade and front section of the existing building is to be incorporated into the development.
