The
City of Darebin has a master plan for the redevelopment of the Town Hall
complex, which includes a hall designed by noted architect Harry Norris.
The original plan proposed that a link be provided between the rear of
the stage to an exterior performance area, but the latest iteration proposes
removal of the beautiful wooden stage altogether. ADS, in conjunction
with the National Trust, has objected and is discussing options with the
Project Manager.
