Spring 2004 - Preservation News
The Collingwood Action Group (CAG), supported by the City of Yarra, the National Trust, and ADS, is continuing its battle to preserve historic buildings in Smith Street Collingwood. ADS has carried out research on other former Coles stores in suburbs including Carnegie, Moonee Ponds, Preston and St. Kilda, a number of which are in surprisingly intact condition. Details of the CAG activities can be found at http://www.smithstreet.org/. ADS objection to the City of Yarra can be found on the site under 'heritage'.
