In recent times, Thomas Ryan has been convenor of the Tasmanian Chapter of ADMS working to promote and preserve aspects of the era.

In the latter part of 2010 the proposed re-development of Parliament Square in Hobart placed several 20th Century buildings under threat. See the Preservation pages for more details.
