Melbourne Art Deco by Robin Grow


ADMS President, Robin Grow, has published a book on Melbourne Art Deco. It examines the rise, fall and resurgence of Art Deco in Melbourne from the 1930s to the present day.

Its 10 chapters cover places to live in and to shop, to do business, to relax, to study and worship, places that serve the community, Melbourne on the move, Deco details, the final resting-place and preservation. Its a soft-cover book of 140pp, and is richly-illustrated with contemporary images by David Thompson and a number of other photographers, supported by archival material.
