Mitchell House, Elizabeth Street, has been nominated to the Victorian State Heritage Register and has been recommended for inclusion by Heritage Victoria.WINTER 2009 - Preservation News
ADMS has nominated two of Melbourne's best interwar buildings for inclusion on the Victorian Heritage Register - Mitchell House, on the corner of Elizabeth St and Lonsdale St (Harry Norris, 1936) and Yule House, 309-311 Little Collins St (Oakley & Parkes, 1932).It has long been recognised that Moderne buildings are under-represented on the Register and it is our aim to nominate a number of buildings this year. It's not an easy process - the submission must include the architectural and general history of the building, assess its significance against a number of criteria and demonstrate that the building is of State significance.
