Events - Feb 11 - Hollywood comes to Melbourne Derham Groves will present the story of the Hollywood star, Anna May Wong then Lina Caneva will introduce her DVD compiled from the home movies of silent movie star Claire Adams and husband Scobie McKinnon featuring their property Mooramong. The Book - ADMS President, Robin Grow, has released his book, Melbourne Art Deco. It examines the rise, fall and resurgence of Art Deco in Melbourne from the 1930s to the present day. Its a soft-cover book of 140pp, and is richly-illustrated with contemporary images by David Thompson and a number of other photographers, supported by archival material. [more details]
 
Preservation - Unfortunately the former Penfolds Wines building in Fitzroy has been demolished and Lonsdale House waits the same fate but the 1925 Tudor Revival style house, Enniskillen in Canterbury provides us with some better news.[more details]
