Beginning with the society dance music of the 1920s\, Henry will explain the influence of such greats as Paul Whiteman and Louis Armstrong in creating what came to be known as ‘swing’ and the big bands\, including Benny Goodman\, Glenn Miller\, Artie Shaw\, and Ted Heath. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a presentation about the exciting world of textiles and mid-century furniture. \nOur first presenter is Laura Jocic\, who will cover Australian Modernist textiles from the 1920s to 1960s.
